Mike Garrison is great as always on Trust in the Law and I immediately love He Was Never Here. I can tell right away this will be a favorite track of mine (always a great feeling). Kicked in the Balls Again (fantastic song title, by the way) is simultaneously weird, creepy, and foreboding in a really cool and unexpected, yet very interesting way. A Traveler from an Antique Land is another one I can tell I'll be coming back to often. Off to an amazing start! Losing Face and Squid Pro Quo are the most subdued tracks so far; very atmospheric and eerily peaceful until the underlying tension builds and boils over. Nostalgia Blues is surprisingly out of character, but I kind of love it. This is just confirming that the Watchmen material has surpassed TGWTDT for me and is currently challenging The Social Network as my favorite score of theirs.

Just had my first listen. Two sax based songs - fine with me. Nostalgia Blues particularly excellent of those two. Listened on my commute, not ideal, but get the feeling this has surpassed vol 1 for me, which I really liked.

I see what you did there

FUCKING CHRIST ON A BIKE! could actually be a Watchmen song title.

It’s on Apple Music. Not listed under albums, but go to TR and atticus’s page and scroll to the bottom of top songs.

I got an email from Amazon today, saying that my Vol 2 order has been delayed until Monday. Lame.

Glad to see it's on Apple now, so I'll get to listen to it today anyway. Balance to universe --> restored.

In addition to the Garson credit on Trust In the law, a musician named John Beasley is credited as a composer on Nostalgia Blues and Dreamland Jazz. This is according to the iTunes Music tags.

Tidal (when it's put up). They also have Vol 1.

Hopefully, there will be a Hi-Res digital option once all 3 volumes are released.

    Garson, you animals!

Conspiracy theories happening in my head where Trent, Atticus, and several jazz musicians are teaming up for a mega session for Watchmen, Soul, Mank, and Bad Witch-esque full length NIN album...

Has anyone seen the credits page of Vol. 2 yet? I'm guessing T/A didn't actually have much to do with the jazz tracks (apart from maybe overseeing the process). It sounds like a live band of experienced jazz musicians.

Yes, I'm sorry. I promise I do know the guy's name, just messed it up this one time. It won't happen again! In all seriousness, I do hope they're actively working on new NIN by now because they seem to be really inspired and it could lead to amazing things in new NIN songs!

I gotta say, this is exciting. I think it's great it was cut into three parts. Easier to get into, easier to digest. I think I prefer the Vol1.

Upon first listen I was immediately reminded of the last half of Magnetic from the Social Network score.

Also, I hate to ask, but does anyone have some FLAC files they'd be willing to share? I pro-ordered all three volumes through Target and my copy of Vol. 2 doesn't look like it's going to come until sometime next week, but I'd really like to listen to it while I'm out of town and during the 10 hours of driving I'll be doing over the next four days.

So... volume one was great. I think after a few listens I like volume 2 a little better. I don't mind the jazzy tracks, but I kind of feel the same way about them as I do about the sample tracks in the first volume. In context it is OK, but if I hadn't watched the show it would seem completely out of place. He Was Never Hear is so good! Gives me that old school first three albums nin vibe. If you added vocals and replaced the piano with the classic nin beat with that 2/2 feel this could fit right in.

This track, to me, sounds like it's noodling from the Hesitation Marks sessions...specifically While I'm Still Here.

Half of the fun of every installment of Watchmen is the song titles
