Little comment from Danny Hyde on the Coil FB group:

"A couple of months ago Trent rang me to just ask if Peter (Coil) would be offended by a story line that had an alternative reality where NIN went almost poppy and were saved by coil mixes. I said Peter, as indeed he suspected, would be delighted, and Jhonn would be happy too. I guess this is something to do with that line of thinking Trent expressed."

I'm glad you can't actually buy that. I might have done it just to see what I got. I did however buy both the TNIN t-shirt and hoodie that were added to the store.

I noticed the Watchmen scores are not in a lot of digital stores. I believe we will get a full digital release with the 3 volumes together. Especially since Trent gave away 5 tracks in Hi-Res, as it would be annoying to only have 5 tracks in Hi-Res whereas the rest of the score is just regular 16 bit.

It was available if you added it to your wish list first, and then to your cart from there. It's sold out now, but a few people did complete orders, so it'll be interesting to see what is received.

This soundtrack is one of the best things Trent and Atticus have done ever. Everything they do is amazing, but if anyone was worried they would get in too much fo a rut, they need only listen to this to hear how truly versatile and talented they are. Bad Witch dabbled in jazz, this just dives right in. Amazing. Just keeps getting better on repeated listens. And all the world-building around it? Feeling lucky.

Did you notice the Null logo that looks just like the Nothing logo? I wonder if that will be a thing now or if it's just for the Watchmen alternate universe stuff...

Lisa Fischer and/or Sharlotte Gibson on "Lincoln Tunnel"? That would be cool. Great track. Can't wait for the entirety of vol. 3!!

SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED EPISODE 9:

I'm curious, the vocal chorus parts used in Lincoln Tunnel, and also the scene in the theatre at the end of Episode 9, do we think TR and AR created those or are they sampled? I finished listening to the Vol 3 vinyl after watching Episode 9 and wish that track had been included, but I'm guessing it was probably created too late in the process like the others. Such a good track, a somber counterpoint to Lincoln Tunnel.

Any sightings of the digital release online yet? It has usually come out the Tuesday after the 3/6 episodes.

Nothing showing on Apple Music yet. Is it no Wednesday they've been appearing?

When it does, I guess I'll make a playlist with all three volumes and the extra downloadable tracks (by which time hopefully someone will have ripped the vinyl-exclusive one).

Oh yeah.... where's my vinyls please Mr Reznor??

Love the latest Peteypedia entry, 3rd paragraph:

Similarly, a maintenance crew will be boxing up the contents of Petey’s office later this afternoon.Anyone interested in taking anything from the stacks of media, ephemera, and straight-up junk cluttering hisworkspace — multiple copies of Rorschach’s Journal, hundreds of “comic” books (why our society is still soobsessed with pirates is beyond me) and a jug of what appears to be some kind of canola oil, help yourselves.Let the record reflect that I have personally removed a new album by The Nine Inch Nails entitled The Manhattan Project, as my son listens to that garbage, it is rotting his brain, and it brought me great personal delight to smash this “music” into pieces.

I really want to hear NIN play Lincoln Tunnel live some day, and let it morph into TDTWWA.

And now you can’t unhear it either.

Got vol. 3 last night. Absolutely love the alternate TNIN storyline and how they connect Trent and Atticus' real life journey with the Watchmen universe, even adding in a nice Social Network shoutout along the way.

It was great putting on a vinyl and hearing brand new TR/AR music, some of which either wasn't on the show or was only used briefly, so it really was fresh. My biggest disappointment is that the awesome track from the end of episode 8 was nowhere to be found. I assume it will be one of the digital-only tracks, but it felt like it needed to be on the vinyl. The track at the end of side 2 is a bit of an underwhelming final track, which makes me really wish the episode 8 track took its place instead.

Can anyone in Australia (or other markets over the dateline) confirm this?

if we're talking about the choral track with the TDTWWA guitars that played while Doc popped heads, yes, that's Lincoln Tunnel, as @Fred said. And it's the first track of the digital-only files.
