If you got the vinyl can't you just plug something in your amp to record from the headphones jack ?

I don't know what's up with the delay on Deezer on each of these releases, I guess they don't have the money to pay for the earliest release time like the others. Break the monopoly, don't use spotifty-apple-amazon-whatever.

Ideally, one would want a better source lineage. For example, the following from DJPaul at burningtheground.net usually sounds great (especially on those classic 80's 12-inch singles):

    EQUIPMENT USED:
    Turntable: Pro-Ject Debut Carbon (DC)
    Cartridge: Ortofon 2M
    Stylus: Ortofon 2M Bronze
Isolation: Auralex Acoustics ISO-Tone Turntable Isolation Platform
    Platter: Pro-Ject Acryl-It platter
    Stabilizer: Pro-Ject Record Puck
DAC/Phono Pre-amp: Alpha Design Labs GT40a USB DAC
Record Cleaning: VPI HW 16.5 Record Cleaning Machine

    SOFTWARE USED:
    Recording/Editing: Adobe Audition 3.0 (Recording)
Down Sampling/Dither: iZotope RX Advanced 2
    Click Removal: Manual
    FLAC/MP3 Conversion: dBpoweramp

    RESTORATION NOTES:
All vinyl rips are recorded @ 32bit/float
    FLAC (Level Eight)

If anyone is able to provide hi-res scans of the booklet/story that would be excellent.

'NOTHING EVER ENDS' off of WATCHMEN: VOL 3 could TOTALLY be a track for Quake, and this makes me very happy!

The breathy vocals of TR on this new track remind me a lot of this track...

    the Watchmen Soundtrack leitmotiv hunt

Several chord progressions and elements are shared throughout the three volumes of the soundtrack.

-"Nothing Ever Ends" is based on the “Mueller Time” descending bass line.
-"how the west was really won" main synth melody evolves into the "watch over this boy" piano melody.
-"watch over this boy" xylophone-like melody evolves into the sax part in "nostalgia blues".

    Anything else ?

Lincoln Tunnel is probably my favorite score track that they have EVER done. I still get goosebumps when that guitar kicks in

Too early to rate, but i think Vol. 3 might be the best one...

To me, it's the one that impresses me the least. But I think it complements really well the other two. Overall, all three are fantastic. This is definitely my favourite soundtrack.

I'm still amazed by all the music TR&AR gave us over the last few years.

None of them have, except the non-vinyl tracks that TR posted. Wish they would sell them directly, since I bought the vinyl, I'm not paying for lossy files, but I will pay again if it's hi-res lossless.

    Just sayin'

I would totally 100% be willing to buy a separate slip-case to slide the three records into via The Nine Inch Nails webstore, if that were to ever be a thing.

    You know... ::clears throat::

In case anyone happens to read this.

I was thinking the exact same thing. That would be awfully handy! I'd definitely pay around $10 for something like that.

Lincoln Tunnel is like Great Gig in the Sky and TDTWWA had a beautiful baby. Truly one of the finest pieces of music TR has ever written. Not to take anything away from Atticus, I’m just saying anything Trent has ever produced as NIN or from his work with AR. Score or otherwise.

VOL 3 is a very interesting and refreshing press. Overall WATCHMEN has impressed me with the creativity, unpredictability, delivery, and all else. It has exceeded my expectations of just another score.

Volume 1 and 2 are available on Tidal (I can't see the price because I have a HiFi membership, it's overpriced though):

    Volume 1 = https://store.tidal.com/us/album/121873662

    Volume 2 = https://store.tidal.com/us/album/123892930

Both volumes are also available on Deezer, and Volume 2 is available on 7digital.

anyone had luck with finding Volume 3 on Google Play yet? i've been using their cloud music locker for 7 or 8 years now, so for streaming i usually stream with them unless i really like it and buy it in high quality lossless. when Trent and Atticus eventually sell the 24 bit lossless versions, i'll pick them up, but for now i've been streaming through Google Play. just wanted to make sure i'm not missing something because as of now it's on YouTube Music but not Google Play.

It's wild how different The Way It Used To Be sounds to literally everything TR+AR/NIN has ever done before, but the lyrics are peak TR lyrics.

    Are Tidal FLACs 24/96?

None of the Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, or related material is available in Hi-Res, with the exception of Peter Gabriel's "Growing Up (Trent Reznor Remix)". Spek shows it is actually 24/44.1, similar to the ProStudioMasters version.

TIDAL HiFi seems to cap out at 24/48; I haven't found anything higher yet.

Amazon's hi-res service has them at 24-bit, but for streaming only, not purchase.

    That volume 3 though.
Doomsday Prepper would fit right into a NIN album.

Lyrics? Can you explain? I have yet to receive mine. Are there fake lyrics in the booklet or something? The track doesn't actually have vocals, does it?! (I assume not)

Before the way it use to be
The stars would light the way for us to see

I’m a part of everything you do
And I am always watching over you

    Holding you in my embrace
    Everything is in its place

    The way it always was
The way it use to be

And there will never come a day
Where I would ever let you slip away

As long as stars above us both still shine
I’m forever yours and you are mine

I ran into this for Vol 2 - it was on YTM the wednesday of release, but not GPM. It was then available on GPM at midnight the Friday after. Hoping for the same for Vol 3! We shall see if history repeats itself

Edit: not seeing vol 3 in GPM, wth
