Agreed. It's certainly the most excited I've been by one of their scores since The Social Network and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It's among the most inventive scores (for TV or film) that I've heard in the past five years.

Do the Emmys and Globes even have categories for Best Score for television?
Can someone explain to me why vol.1 is selling for +$50 on ebay?
I bought mine from my local record store for $20 I'm so confused
After tonight’s episode, I’m betting Volume 3 will be the soundtrack to the Doctor Manhattan documentary, which seems to be similar to The Vietnam War by Ken Burns.
Was that TR&AR's cover of Life On Mars? If so, I can't wait for Volume 3.
Good motherfucking god that rendition of Life on Mars, it brought tears to my eyes.
I think I was so stunned and excited by Doc Manhattan's return that I genuinely didn't even notice Life on Mars. I'm gonna have to rewatch it because I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
Holy shit balls I am already crying if there is a vocal version I might die
Is this the same arrangement that was earlier in the trailer?
V2 vinyl showed up and the box was damaged. Luckily the actual vinyl was fine, just a small ding on the corner, but certainly not bad enough to warrant sending it back and dealing with any potential stock issues.
Amazon officially delivered Vol 2 today, FINALLY. Never had tracking info either. They simply just said “it’s shipped” and didn’t update shit until it hit my door this morning.
Spoke with someone at Amazon, if your order is delayed it's likely that the nearest fulfillment center didn't have enough. They moving product from another facility, fuggedaboutit!
So Amazon.com is shipping them but Amazon.ca and other Canadian retailers has December 20th for volume 2 & 3 and still can’t provide volume 1.
That cover....just, WOW! TR and AR are just knocking each new project out of the park! OUTSTANDING!
THE WAY IT USED TO BE
Spoiler: I am soooooo happy to see TR/AR have expanded into a new genre and style. For them there is no greater feeling than standing back as you listen to the final version of a song you wrote, and that moment you realize that you have pulled off a 1940s swing/traditional pop song production. When I was a kid I had 'Hooked on Swing' on cassette and played it a lot, so this song is welcomed by me!
Fantastic job with the brass, wood, and ivory. Wow. Did TR/AR actually write the parts for the brass and wood; with help from Dan I assume?
More swing please.
THE WAY IT USED TO BE: written by TRENT REZNOR and ATTICUS ROSS
Music Producer: DAN HIGGINS Engineering and Mixing: RICH BREEN
I don’t know if this has been mentioned but the music played during Veidt’s trial is from Mozart’s Requiem (Lacrimosa). The film also used Mozart’s Requiem (requiem aeternam) near the end after he pulls off his plan and Dr Manhattan gets all big crashing into his Antarctica base.
Does anybody have a hi-res artwork of Volume 2 yet? American Hero Story version, not the digital one.
I received Vol. 2 today! Going to listen later tonight with headphones after everyone goes to bed! super stoked here, I've been resisting listening to it on the streaming services.
super jealous some of you received volume 2. I ordered all three on day 1, and Volume 1 showed up fine. This round though, I have watched all 4 of my "arriving today by 8pm" delivery promises come and go.
Not to rain on anyone here BUT... IT ARRIVED!!! (along with With Teeth and Birdbox.) So fucking dope!
