I am a pretty big fan of Alessandro Cortini but I think his remix is such a let down! The track isn't bad but it not what I would have done or what I wanted to hear him do. I don't usually get into remixes that are just an entirely different song with the vocal track just chopped up and placed throughout. It seems lazy. The O.G. Mix is good but I feel like Maynard could have gone BALLS TO THE WALL a little more! Get it?? The 2 new tracks are exactly what I have come to expect from Puscifer. I really feel his heart in this WAY more than Tool and I am okay with that. Newer Tool, to me, is at times too tedious. As long as Tool doesn't go and put out an album or E.P. where 3/4ths of the songs are under 5 minutes I am going to have to be on team Puscifer!

Love the Balls To The Wall Cover. Much more mellow than Accept's but it has a lovely sound and quality to it. I love it.

I usually like Puscifer's remixes but all of them on this EP fall flat. Sad day.

Pretty mixed about the EP. I never liked Queen. So, hearing a complete remake of the song doesn't really do much for me. The remixes are pretty bland and easy forgettable. Disappointing since I really like Sonoio and Big Black Delta. The remixes are just very unnecessary.

    Puscifer

Can someone point me in the right direction please, can't find it on the usual suspects and even the unblocked pirate bay doesn't work half the time

This EP is ok. Not a fan of Queen. Breathe is not their best work. Dear Brother is my favorite off this EP. Balls to the Walls is great too. I don't like any of the 4 remixes (nice addition though)

The Big Black Delta remix makes the EP. You remix haters are nuts.

This is amazing. Love the remixes and Breathe and Dear Brother are incredible (their remixes, too). The Bohemian Rhapsody cover is too similar to the original. I'd like if they mixed it up a bit, but I guess MJK can get away with being ridiculous when it comes to Puscifer. Great EP!

Who wants to help decipher these Dear Brother lyrics?

    Reminiscing on our indestructible days,
The party never seemed to end,
We donkey punched the night away.

    Sin after sin, 25/7,
    Some risky business my friend,
    Fortune seemed to favor us,
'Round every dark and twisted bend.

    But you can't cheat death
    (???)
    You can't cheat death
    (???)

This glass I raise is heavy,
Heavy as my heart this day.
The reaper slips right past us,
The bastard stole your breath away.

The reaper slips right past us,
The bastard stole your breath away.

We raise a heavy glass to you,
    And our indestructible days.
May heaven's call to you (???)
    (something something) light your way.

    Farewell dear friend,
    Fare thee well dear brother.

    Seven jovial toasts to you,
Heavy is my heart this day.
Once more into the breach(?), dear friend.
    Donkey punch the night away.

    Farewell dear friend,
    Fare thee well dear brother.

The cover of Bohemian Rhapsody is embarrassing, which is kind of sad since it's technically some of the best singing Maynard has done in a while, but all it does is reveal his limitations when stacked up against Freddie Mercury's ridiculously more punchy version. By singing half the song in a lower octave you can't help but get the impression that he's half-assing it.

Freddie Mercury did the exact same thing when he sung it live. I like "Bohemian Rhapsody" but since this is such a note-for-note copy of the original arrangement (minus a couple of little guitar things that only Brian May can do), I may as well just listen to the original. At least when Shatner covered it, he put his own unique spin on it.

The last verse of "Dear Brother" sounds like this to me:

We raise a heavy glass to you and our indestructible days
    May heavens call to you
May stars aligning light your way
    Farewell, dear friend
    Fare thee well, dear brother
Sad and joyful toasts to you
Heavy is my heart this day
Once more unto the breach, dear friend
    Donkey punch the night away

I particularly like how he juxtaposed the giggle-inducing titular phrase next to a Shakespeare reference.

That's my favorite part about Puscifer, their ability to mix humor and sincerity together and still come out with an amazing product. Using an example, Vagina Mine live from the "C" Is For... EP. The lyrics are all hilarious nonsense, but the song itself is so amazing. And yeah, Dear Brother. It's an otherwise serious song with the phrase "donkey punch" thrown in for good measure. I love it.
