don't feel so bad. I've been on a 2DS kick, purchased 3 different 2DS's, and a 2DS XL. It's crazy to see how much they've gone up in value. the funny thing is I just sold my collection last year/year before, before the prices spiked.

Started playing Hot Wheel Unleashed (Game of the Year edition)...
Diggin' it... more depth to the maps/tracks and upgrades than I was expecting, so I'll need to explore more of that.
A bit floaty on the physics but I can work with that.

I'm sorry, how do you pronounce Lakitu? LAH-key-two? I've always heard it pronounced as Leh-KEY-two. The caps indicate the stress, if I recall from primary school?

edit: multiplayer is at 11:20 and, if you ever played the 4-player Mario games on the Wii/U you'd know that they are horrible multi games because your character cannot occupy the same space so you get very frustrated very easily. This one gets rid of that, woo!

and anyone can ride a Yoshi, even another Yoshi? frickin sweet. The elephant riding the Yoshi was hilarious.

That direct had some real weird choices. Tomb Raider 1/2/3? Though it was funny that the HD version looks like what your memory says the game looked like.

I'm looking forward to that Atlus RPGs, as well as that spiritual successor to Suikoden (and impatiently waiting for the Suikoden 1+2 ports ) . wasn't really anything else that stood out to me in the direct but that's fine.

Paper Mario Thousand Year Door update for the Switch is pretty sweet. The GameCube version is pretty expensive these days.

Had my Switch for a year now, still liking it. Wish I was up to playing it more regularly but I am happy with it.

Now back to playing Hot Wheels Unleashed 2....

100% Mario Wonder last night. That final level, holy shit. I liked Wonder a ton more than I did Odyssey, there weren't as many finger-cramping movements to make Mario move around and do stuff. Plus it wasn't just "Collect Power Moons because holy shirt there are a lot of them", instead it was more like Super Mario World with the hidden exits and stuff.

Metroid Prime 4 is finally a thing, and now my pre-order from years ago actually means something.

Huh, the Legend of Link? lol

A fighting collection on the worst controller? OK. and I've never heard of that "beat 'em up classic" Punisher game.

I'm looking forward to the new Metroid and Zelda games. It's also nice to see the Mario & Luigi series revived. This was a solid Direct.

On paper, I'd love a Zelda game where you play as Zelda, but I'm not into the fornite-ish gameplay on display there

What is it with Zelda being the main protagonist and wands?

Also, my wife didn't know about Wand of Gamelon so I got to show her that clusterfuck yesterday. lol

    Pumped for this.

Also I've been really enjoying my time with Animal Well on the Switch. Gonna have the pick up that Mario and Luigi game. I'm not into Paper Mario, but a friend said those games play more like Super Mario RPG ... which I like a lot.

Hahaa, the voice-overs, and sound effects are my favorite part about the game. They're so hilariously awful, hahaaa.

I'm actually surprised with the way modern media has been trending, we haven't seen Zelda at the helm at this point. But if it does happen, I'd be all for it.

I’m a Nintendo loyalist. I’ve owner all their consoles (except handhelds), and the only other console I’ve owned is an XBox360, which I haven’t played in years.

I love their in-house games, and the Switch has so many third-party games, too.

I think the Switch is awesome, and I’m looking forward to its successor.

Doom 1 & Doom 2 which just came out with a new episode is freaking awesome. I realized I never beat Doom 2 as a kid! So I'm digging in now.

The last level of Doom II.

I left it, thinking it was impossible. Even though I had hit the vulnerable spot once.

The Icon of Sin, seems imposible (it used to give me headaches too, back in the 90's...)

It's possible to "finish it" with some accuracy, hitting it 4 or 5 times does the trick.

Make sure the rocket launcher is in line when you're riding up the lift, and fire just as the top of the launcher passes the bottom of the Icon's chin. Takes 3 hits.

    Uuuugghhh!

    such a frustration.

When Doom II came out for the Macintosh, ‘96-‘97, I bought a copy from the university bookstore at the college where I was a student.

I spent many nights in the computer lab listening to TDS and playing Doom II.

then, decades later, Doom Eternal came out.

What a game. F-ing Marauders. Those damned dogs. Marauders wouldn’t be so hard if it wasn’t for those damned dogs.

Easily one of the best games on the Switch.

That one I have gotten all the way through, including Ancient Gods 1&2.

So looking forward to Dark Ages.

I used to blast "Broken" while playing, but it's a matter of personal taste...
