Also, tonight's rehearsal setlist was a little different. Opened with Deutschland, Was Ich Liebe has been scrapped and replaced with Rosenrot instead.
Everything else seems to be similar/the same. Glad they made the choice of opening with Deutschland instead.

Apparently it was a fake going around. There were a few of them floating around on Instagram. Guess I jumped the gun when I saw it and posted it here lol. Now I'm the fool in the end. Still think they should have open with Deutschland over was ich liebe. That song is really a terrible opener. I'm assuming they'll change it up for the North American shows... right? I know R+ are usually pretty notorious for sticking to the same stylist for years. The LIFAD setlist didn't really budge from 2009 until about 2012 once the Made in Germany tour came around. Guessing this is going to be the set we're stuck with for the next 2-3 years.

Oh man, seeing some of the videos I'm thrown off a little bit... way to bright and they seem reaaaally small on that stage. Hope it's turning out better when I'm seeing this with my own eyes in two weeks. Setlist is great though apart from the tree songs I truly dislike (Ausländer, Pussy, was ich liebe).

On another note: the arena in Gelsenkirchen holds up to 62.000 people. What's been the biggest Rammstein show to date? Does anyone know?

At what time did the dress rehearsal shows start? I checked and the Munich shows (next week) are starting at 7:30 PM local time, according to a weather website sunset is at 9:00 pm in Munich this time of the year...yeah. It'd be interesting to see them when it's light out (the stadium is an open dome). @dlb , are there certain curfews in Germany for outdoor shows?

And yeah, never seen Rammstein in that big a stadium before.

One thing I have always loved about this band is their sense of humor. It's like 95% doom and gloom and incest and necrophilia, but then every once and awhile they do screwball stuff like this and Amerika and Mein Land.

I was thinking about this. Man, I keep drawing parallels between R+ and Depeche Mode. Haifisch with the DM sound, the opening to Radio. R+ covering Stripped, and both bands typically just sticking to the exact same set lists.

I hope Rammstein decide to take another bit of inspiration from DM and do what Martin does with the acoustic songs, changing then up mid-set with just he and a piano. Till could do a bit where Diamant is paired with Ein Lied, then the next night swap that out for Seemann and Ohne Dich, or a combined piano duo of Donaukinder and Vergiss Uns Nicht in the style of the Mein Herz Brennt piano rendition.

Curfews vary, but it's usually around 11pm. So I hope with the opening act that Rammstein is on at maybe 8:30 so it would be just the first 30 minutes during daylight. I saw them 3 years ago at the Waldbühne in Berlin around the same time and Reise Reise during daylight was awful and did not do the lighting and overall song any justice. Anyway, I'm super excited if they will actually bring out the light dome in Munich as Gelsenkirchen still has a rather narrow roof whereas Munich is pretty much an open air venue. I will post pics or let you guys know either way.

Oh and Ausländer? I am quite surprised that I like the video as much as I do. I still hate the song to bits but this is finally a funny R+ video that I get a kick out of. Well done and Flake kills it again!
