Forgot about this thread.
The end of this song, the voicemail from Ed? Made me cry immediately. Not so much because of Ed, but because it reminds me of my Dad, who died in March of ‘16; he used to leave me voicemail messages like that all the time. The response on Wolf’s IG page shows I’m not alone in this. The whole song really resonates with people who’ve experienced loss, especially those who’ve lost a parent.

Rivers Cuomo is disappointed that Eddie Van Halen won’t get to hear Weezer's 'Van Weezer' album
Weezer’s “all guitars and shredding” album, Van Weezer, was scheduled for release in May 2020 but delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now the record, which Weezer dedicated to Eddie Van Halen, will come out in on May 7, 2021. But as singer and guitar player Rivers Cuomo noted in a new interview, this means that Van Halen, who passed away on October 6, 2020 at the age of 65, won’t hear it.
“Just from a self-centered perspective, we’re disappointed,” Cuomo told Apple Music’s The Strombo Show.
“It would have been cool if he could have heard the record. And I don’t know if it would have meant anything to him. But he could have seen his influence bearing fruit decades later and in this modern record of 2021.”
Mammoth WVH will be released 6/11. Album artwork (in the video below) looks really cool.
"You're to Blame"
Mammoth WVH is playing on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. Interested to see the band play live.
Wolf sounded great on Kimmel last night. If that performance is any indication, he's put a fine band together to play live & possibly record with. I'm wondering if someone is going to double up on keyboards when needed. I'm hoping that he is successful. The music world needs some good new rock these days. I think his dad would be proud of what Wolf has accomplished so far.

I find Wolf’s stuff solid so far, especially that live performance. I’ll definitely pick a copy of his record up. He’s doing his own thing and it’s shaping up awesome.
TBH, I wasn't super excited about this album at first. I thought that it would be like Kelly Osbourne/Sean Lennon's work--not bad, but not really anything all that great--another album from the child of a super famous musician, but these new songs are great. Wolfgang is uber-talented.

New songs, sounds great.
This is old, but I don't know if I've seen this before.
2.5 hours long. That's right, 2.5 hours long.
WVH is a lot better than I expected. Looking forward to the whole album
It’s all very pop-ie. It sounds like “something else” but I don’t remember what.
definitely very mainstream rock but what surprised me at first is that WVH can sing pretty well
Cool story from Eddie Vedder on meeting Eddie Van Halen:
"Giddy Up," with John 5 on guitar:
Wolfgang will be on your with GN'R this summer.
