I don't understand why they don't let her use her normal accent in movies like this. there's no reason for it, her mother has an accent, so why not let it fly? ugh.
otherwise that looks great.
^^^ love the inclusion of pronouns, the more it's normalized the more trans folks will feel comfortable and that makes me so happy
also, david thewlis as dee? PERFECT
there's a new cut of the SMB movie?
Super Mario Bros: The Morton Jankel Cut (VHS Extended Rough Cut 1.0) Movie 1993
From the official Super Mario Bros: The Movie Archive team, here's your first look at the previously-unseen extended rough cut of the controversial 1993 cyberpunk fantasy, Super Mario Bros.
The film as released runs 104 minutes. This extended version runs a full 125 minutes, with 20 minutes of additional scenes. The editing has also been reworked throughout, and restored by filmmaker Garrett Gilchrist, well known for his restoration of The Thief and the Cobbler and many Muppet projects.

The full extended Super Mario Bros. rough cut is up on Archive.org!

M. Night. Shyamalan has a new movie. The impression that I got from the trailer was that this could have been a good 20 minute Twilight Zone episode.
yeah, you're not wrong there. I don't see how that story - outside of the big twist that 'it's aliens!' or something - is movie-length.
for that matter, I don't see how it affects the baby but not the mother?
I did not see this coming. I'm a bit conflicted about the idea of this, but Neil wrote a blog post that made me feel a bit better.

wait wait wait...2?
I mean if they were able to crack the code to a sequel to Watchmen then I guess.
I'll have to read that post later.
edit: having read that post, I 100% am on board with this. It's not ideal since Sir Terry couldn't work on it as well but at least it's coming from a conversation that the two had about what the sequel would look like.
Loved the addition of the angels in the show - reminded me of a book I read sometime - so more of that is going to be awesome.

Crazy to think I made a thread when this was announced over 3 years ago. I can't frigging wait for this! Been waiting a while for this day to arrive.
You got James Gandolfini's own son taking over his father's role as a teenage Tony Soprano, original series creator David Chase who wrote it with another Sopranos series writer, plus Alan Taylor who directed 9 episodes of the series. This is gonna be epic. I kinda wish it was a show instead of a movie.

One of my friends posted this on her Facebook page. Holy crap!
If anything it should be "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice..."
Matt Damon recently revealed that the biggest regret of his career was turning down a role in Avatar. Apparently he was offered 10% of the profit to be in the film. That would have been well over $100 million, most likely.
Growing up is a beast. Check out the new trailer for the upcoming all-new original feature film “Turning Red” from Pixar Animation Studios’ director Domee Shi, who won an Oscar® for her 2018 short film, “Bao.” Young actress Rosalie Chiang lends her voice to Mei Lee, a 13-year-old who suddenly “poofs” into a giant red panda when she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS). Sandra Oh voices Mei Lee’s protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, who is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. Directed by Shi and produced by Lindsey Collins, Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” releases March 11, 2022.
Yeah that's really weird, I don't like that....
Can't wait
