This is not the Emerson, Lake, and Palmer thread I thought it was :/

His solo stuff has always been more interesting to me than RTJ. That being said I'm in no need of the reissues since I've still got my vinyl und cd copies from back when those albums came out.
Still love playing the "Cancer 4 Cure" instrumentals on Tidal. Great stuff.
Goddamnit man, the new song RIPS:
Check out this article in which El-P talks about the music that made him: https://pitchfork.com/features/5-10-...-that-made-him
New songs are good. Hope this will be a good album.
Gonna be hard to top RTJ3. It's my favorite.
I must be the only one I know who doesn't care for RTJ.
LOVE El-P, but the dynamic of Mike and P together has never clicked with me and for as much as I love P's production on a lot of RTJ's material—I find the album's to be a bore. Glad people dig em, but wish it worked for me.
Here's the classic Gangstarr (f. Nice & Smooth) song that the new RTJ song is built upon.
great video with a few fun guest spots.
I dunno. This might be their weakest song yet? Can't really get into that beat. And their lyrics became interchangable by RTJ2. Guess, it's not for me.
RTJ DROPPING IN 24 DAYS
'Pre Order now on RunTheJewels.com'
Website seems broken right now, but guess it'll sort itself out soon.
Personally I'm loving the new songs - well Ooh La La anyway... not really heard the other one yet.
Hoping that when All This is over I can finally get to see RTJ live. On my list of must sees.
Love the art and color scheme for 4. Also I REALLY love Ooh La La
Glad there's a release date in sight. I've only listened to Yankee and the Brave once, and I've purposefully avoided listening to Ooh La La so I can hear it with fresh ears as part of the album.
gotta hear these guest collabos....kinda nuts.
Fantastic Damage is on streaming platforms now. Couldn't be happier. This brings back a lot of memories of being a young person, going to a lot hip hop shows and arguing on message boards.
It's a great album. When I went to buy it on the strength of the single they only had the instrumental version in stock. So I bought that one and got lost in it. His production has always been so different and noisy. I can see why TR loved it.
Really looking forward to finally owning this album on vinyl when they repress it in a few months. El-P solo > RTJ IMO
I pre-ordered the neon magenta vinyl pressing, CD and the neon hoodie when the pre-orders hit a bit ago. Stoked!
That movie looks like an utter abortion but those two El-P tracks sound great.
This is the best RTJ album since RTJ1.
Some of the best beats El has ever made too.
timely and eery.Walking in the Snow lyric: "and every day on the evening news they feed you fear for free. and you're so numb you watch the cops choke out a man like me. until my voice goes to a shriek to whisper 'i can't breathe'"
I got full body chills when I heard this verse for the first time. I'm on my third listen now, and I have to say I haven't felt this good about a hip hop album since To Pimp A Butterfly. Jamie and Mike might have legitimately made the best work of their careers with this album. If not that, at least some of the best verses.
Album is stupid good. The end.
PS. Cannibal Ox production sample on Pulling The Pin? I think so. El-P sampled himself. Inception.
Has anyone got the high quality download? What’s the sample / bit rate on that?
Damn fine record, will definitely spin this a couple of times during the weekend and keep it as a steady on my playlist. Very nice and cool to be able to make a donation with this. The chemistry these two have is beyond belief.
I plan to listen on Spotify this afternoon. Can’t wait.
