a few pals and I spent four hours discussing the body of work, ranking the major releases and 10 non-album tracks. also features fellow ETS-member and dear friend @halo33! <3
^small world (not really, we're talking about the internet) . I remember about a decade ago commenting on Bret's videos when I was into collecting vinyl and we were part of the "vinyl community" (VC as we called it) . I recall having discussions with him about The Cure.
Aww, Bret is the best! Always been a fan of his band(s) over the years and have been enjoying doing these ranking videos with him for the last year or two! We've done quite a few at this point, but of course, this one was a blast especially! <3
That's cool...but I don't consider NIN "metal." Do y'all? I mean, MAYBE a few tracks here and there fit the bill...Last and such...
Edit: oh, I see: the article isn't exactly calling NIN "metal." My bad.
Also, Jesus fuck. SLIPKNOT? For me, the answer is Tricky,.Portishead, Bjork, etc.

I am not watching that.
I did, and Dax Shepard is a great singer.
Wish is the music for the trailer to ITV4 (UK's) coverage of Tour de France. For some reason.
I got an email from Cold Spring about a 10th Anniversary LP re-release of Recoiled, if anyone's looking for vinyl. Doesn't look like there's anything new or different.
NIN was mentioned on Jeopardy last night.
It was along the lines of "These two bands had to combine their names to NINJA for their 2009 tour." The dude got it right.
"Together" was perfect for the opening scene of the new season of The Bear.
Edit: Make that throughout the entire episode.

In That 90s Show, E3... classic NIN shirt on the Hot Tropic wall...
1:43. Someone hook her up! I'm sure there's a lot of eligible bachelors on here!
Saw this on the game show "Split Second"

Review for Australian band Pond. Great band but I can’t see the reviewers comparisons to Reznor
A somewhat embarrassing spotting!
I was listening to the podcast "Pod Meets World" , a recap podcast of the show Boy Meets World with some of the actors from the show.
Danielle Fishel, aka Topanga, in the episode "Security Guy" , mentioned she envisioned her young kid "growing up, wearing all black, and listening to Nine Inch Nails"
Cash and Vedder, legendary throat gristle instrument garglers both, but both barely earn kudos for their Hurt covers. Only just. The original is impossible to approach for genuine ethereal atmosphere. .. The 90 seconds after the sublime lyric, "I would keep myself. I would find a way" are essential. Cover versions don't seem to understand this.

I wonder where The Wall by Pink Floyd was rated in the list. It is another perspective on the exact process described in The Downward Spiral. The price extracted, in all its gory splendour, for assuming the position of cabal endorsed artist.

New "Dusty Green" NIN shirt at H&M is now available online for anyone who is looking to pick it up
Oversized Printed T-shirt - Round Neck - Short sleeve - Dusty green/Nine Inch Nails - Ladies | H&M US (hm.com)
Thanks for the heads up. I bought this today, and the black TDS shirt they have. I'm not sure why the green one is listed as a women's shirt, as it doesn't fit any differently than the black men's shirt. Both are oversized/loose fit, so size down. I normally wear a large, and the mediums are still a bit baggy but good for me since I'm basically going to wear them to work out in or just around the house.
Agreed. I purchased the black t-shirt at the store and after bringing it up and trying on the XL, it looked like a parachute on me. I went back and exchanged it for a Large. The Dusty Green t-shirt, i just plain ordered Large as these band shirts of H&M all seem to be of the same style.
