On /r/nin - a hundred people in one thread, all dumping on the boots, how disappointed they are, and downvoting anyone with anything positive to say. To put it succinctly, "Lots of assholes here!"
I appreciate the balance here, but that's probably obvious, given this is a very well established group of folks.

That's often just Reddit in general. Take the recent DEP reunion with their original singer, Dimitri to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Calculating Infinity. On the DEP facebook group, everyone saw it for what it was and was psyched about it. On the subreddit however, everyone was screaming that Ben is screwing Greg over and bitching about it.

As I mentioned on the subreddit as well, nincatalog Twitter got over 400 likes over a few posts l, which is not normal behavior for the account. We also picked up 25 new followers, which is pretty cool and I'm happy about.
I think, overall, this was a pretty awesome release. Yes, I'm super bias, not hiding that, but if you're into the boots, I think it will be very enjoyable and if you're not, we got more collabs on the way which folks may enjoy or continue bitching about.

I think I would like the white boots more if they had just gone all in and made the artwork cover the whole boot. The black strip on the bottom and the black toe make the design less attractive to me. I assume they were trying to create a different silhouette than the typical Dr. Marten boot, but I think the classic look would have been more effective. I'll probably cave and get cornstarch.

Given the shoes are the lowest price point of the three normally, that's probably what that price refers to. A regular pair of 1461's are $140, so there doesn't appear to be much of an increase compared to the traditional ones, which is good news.
