i'd rather just go back in time @allegro .
i miss seeing dieselboy and ak1200 and dara and pishposh and craze and andy c and adam f and ed rush and optikal and gridlock and ming & fs and qbert and tech-itch & decoder and loxy & dylan and bad company and mickey finn and dj swamp
and good god i could go on for ever and ever. all of those fuckers (and many many more) used to tour CONSTANTLY, and "in MY day , you could go to a rave party (when a rave was a rave) and go to the small tent and listen to that heavy duty stuff....
you know
the kind of electronic music that comes closer to metal music than disco...
at least dub step carries the SPIRIT, and at least there are SOME djs still doing it, and little local collectives like Ritual Kaos and Covert Operations and Gritsy and Two Tone in texas....
@elevenism
If you're a fan of the heavy side of DnB, check out the album "Mako vs Geist" by DJ?Acucrack
Just happened to stumble upon these guys performing live years ago. I had no clue who they were. It was pretty cool to see drum n' bass performed live with all hardware rather than the usual DJ mixing. After seeing them, I went out and bought this album that they were promoting at the show.
@elevenism
Hey I got the full Mako vs. Geist album, shoot me a PM if you want it.
I like how they blend the tracks on the album so it flows like a DJ mix.

@elevenism
hey thanks man! glad ya dig it.
my Bandcamp page goes from newest to oldest...
my old stuff was more dancefloor-oriented, my homage to the old school warehouse breaks and rave scene of the early 90's
but from "Children Of The Bomb" on is where I felt like I found my true voice, went down a darker, heavier, more beat-oriented path
i released a few EPs in support of that album with newer tracks, alternate versions, and remixes from fellow producers i know
i started working with different vocalists, help me open up my musical palate and mess with different styles from rock to hip hop
Detroit is easily one of my favourite cities in the world for Electronic music. Its always existed in its own little world, its always remained very underground. Its very hardcore and unrelenting some of the stuff thats come out from there. But a lot of it had a catchy pop edge too which made me wonder why the major labels always ignored the electronic scene there and focused on the Eminems and the rest of the Hip Hop scene instead.
Its definetly been the most influential city on European EDM for past 30 years, DEEPLY influential in the UK on Aphex Twin,808 State, KLF, Autechre, Future Sound of London etc, Its always been ahead of the curve, The amount of good music thats come out of the (relatively small?) city is insane.
The collective known as Underground Resistance and their other allieses have produced so so so so much good music.

Thanks man!
Yeah, I did all the visuals for the promo.
Every frame of distortion was done by hand, each frame lasts about a 10th of a second.
I had some art that I created and wanted the whole distort TV kinda look.
I love using my camera's panorama effect while zoomed up on a TV, you get some great glitch art.
My girl helps with the album artwork and we're putting together a new official site.

I'm at the Amsterdam Dance Event, rummaging around on their website looking for gigs to go to (looking forward to the night of Warp on Saturday). I stumbled into Max Cooper. MY. FUCKING. GOD.
Gorgeous, melancholic, experimental yet imminently danceable. I'm completely in love with this music. Listen to the Traum Collection album. Here's a taste:
I'm in NYC for http://www.time-warp.de/usa
Anyone else going and would be interested in a mini ETS meet-up?
Hello my fellow electronica loving friends...
Check out my boy The Aquila's debut album "Venture" and show him some love and support for the holidays by picking up his album on iTunes, Amazon, or Google Play. He's a dear friend and a fellow musician who's been making stellar music for years. "Venture" is one of my favorite albums, something with soul and energy that can get a dancefloor moving!

His remix of Savlonic got him some recognition and they even commissioned him to do a remix for their official album "Red" available on CD/LP...

His remix of The Prodigy's "Ibiza" is better than most of the officially released remixes...

That's awesome, man! He'll be super excited to hear! He was feeling a bit down with music, but I kept trying to tell him that he needed to actually frigging promote the album! lol As a producer, that's one of the biggest parts of music. You can have a great album, but if no one knows about it then it's just you alone with your great album. He's always kinda second guessed himself and is way too hard on himself, which has kept him from releasing stuff. So I've been lighting a fire under his ass to start getting music out there.
I've known the dude for well over a decade now. We were both a part of the Brainkiller forums, a fan site based in Italy. It's like the Echoing The Sound of The Prodigy, one of the biggest fan communities for them. Back in 2003, while trying to kill time waiting for their new album, we decided to host a little competition for the producers that circulated the boards who were fans of and inspired by the band. Ended up with 70+ entries, which were then voted on and whittled down to the best 12 tracks (we actually ended up with 13 tracks due to a tie for 12th place). We called this fan compilation "Music From The Jilted Generation Volume One," in homage of The Prodigy's second album "Music For The Jilted Generation." Aquila and I both had one of our early tracks make it onto to the compilation. I can't believe that was 12 frigging years ago! Anyway, I've been following Aquila's work ever since and a huge fan of his work.
I never heard of Ticon and will definitely check it out.
Thanks again for your support, man! Will pass it onto him. Happy Holidays!

I used Distrokid to get my music out on iTunes/Amazon/Google Play/Spotify/Tidal etc. You should check them out for when you release your music. It's only $25 for the year and you keep 100% of your profits. You get paid quarterly. Getting you music in digital stores is the easy part. Distrokid plus Bandcamp and my own site as well as YouTube and Soundcloud for streaming. But yeah, the hard part is getting the music to people's ears. On Facebook, I found a bunch of groups dedicated to certain styles of music that fit what I do and promote through there as well as finding band sites of artists that have inspired me and sharing stuff on their forums. Just some ideas for when you launch your release.
For instance, Susan a.k.a. It Was July found me on the official NIN forums. I was promoting some of my work and she just happened to stumble upon it. She private messaged me and things just went from there. She showed me her music and asked for a remix. Soon we started collaborating. .
She's a great singer/songwriter/producer, a bit inspired by NIN with a sorta poppy darkness...
